Finally... the pics from Persian Night!

I acknowledge the fact that this blog is like 3 months late, BUT, it is finally up. Not sure if that matters to any of you, but to anal people like me it does. So, for my sake, please appease me and at least look at the pictures. LOL. Im crazy.

So, the Persian feast was DELICIOUS!

I remember back in the day when I used to smother my saffron chicken with Ranch dressing, and Faye, I'm sure would be shaking her head in utter disappointment, thinking, "You are such a white girl... and you are ruining my dish!" Now, many years later I am proud to say that I used NO Ranch dressing or any other kind of American type of Kraft product to cover up any of my Persian food! There was NO need to. I know back then I wasn't able to appreciate all the work, spices and ingredients that went into Persian cooking, so that made our night together all the more special!

Speak of that beauty... here she is! Nils, I can just hear the Farsi through this picture. Love it!

Nils, I loved that you gave us these party favors and the meaning behind them.

And the house looked beautiful! Really felt like we got a feel for Persian culture and tradition.

Steph and Jenna, your appetizers were really yummy. The mint with the feta cheese, cucumber, huummus and pita made a party in my mouth. YUM! Can someone bring me this platter right now? You know my address....

And we KINDA had a guest of honor... he was our youngest, cutest and only male guest.
The Kam Man!
Oh, and I think that Mary, Jesus's mother visited us too?
Mary, is that you?

Jenna, you have mastered babysitting.

The main course cripsy rice = delish

The cucumber, tomato salad = crunchy, juicy goodness

The main course = savory, warm eggplant heaven.

YUM! Dinner time!

And my Persian Ice cream sandwich.... I like this picture because it shows that they were kinda tried by everyone!

Thanks again girls for another amazing night! I had so much fun with my friends! And thank you Nillie for exposing Stephanie to more culture than she has every encountered in her whole life. I think that marked a major milestone in her life.

Love all you Ladies!
